Project Background and ChallengeA customer in the UAE uses the equipment primarily for unloading rolls from containers and transferring them to storage. Part of the handling route crosses an outdoor area paved with interlocking blocks. Joints and local height differences create vibration during travel, so the equipment needed to accommodate these surface conditions while limiting vibration transmitted to its electrical system.

The KAYOND SolutionKAYOND tailored the roll handler to the customer’s unloading workflow and ground conditions. A rough-terrain drive wheel configuration and a shock-absorbing system were incorporated to improve travel over the paved section, cushion impacts from uneven surfaces and reduce vibration transmitted to the chassis and electrical components.

The equipment also features a roll clamp and rotation attachment for gripping, lifting and changing rolls between upright and horizontal orientations, supporting transfer and placement after unloading.

On-Site Application and Solution ValueThe customer’s videos show the equipment gripping, lifting and rotating rolls in the outdoor paved area. This project combines dedicated roll handling functions with adaptations to the travel system, matching the customer’s container unloading requirements and short-distance outdoor transfer route.
